What comeback do I have if I feel that the time I've spent talking to you has not been useful and I have not achieved what I expected. Is there somebody to complain to, or can I get a refund?

I do not offer any kind of refund after sessions. It is up to you to make a judgement as to whether you feel having sessions with me are useful or valuable to you.

There is no one-size-fits-all particularly when it comes to working with people and having a therapeutic relationship.

Sometimes it just simply doesn't and cannot work. There is an incompatibility which is simply there. And some people work in ways that are very different to others.

It is very important to find somebody that you feel you have that degree of compatibility with and can work with, however in order to do this sometimes there has to be some trial and error.

These kind of sessions can also bring up strong emotions which people struggle with and some find unacceptable.  Your basic recourse if you find engaging with me does not meet your needs is to simply step back and try to find another person who you are more compatible with.

The choice you have is always to walk with your feet.

I would always appreciate some form of feedback if you experience any difficulties as this helps me to develop my practise, and hopefully become more effective.

 I'm afraid this is...

  • How the mental health services work today..or don’t in many cases.. -

  • What if I don’t want regular sessions. I may want a few, then break, and pick up when it suits down the line, would this be ok?? -

  • I am experiencing a very difficult time and struggling with my emotions and suicidal thoughts etc. Can I make contact with you whenever I need to, to help me through these times. -

     I'm afraid this is...

  • How the mental health services work today..or don’t in many cases.. -

    Many people are having to...

  • What if I don’t want regular sessions. I may want a few, then break, and pick up when it suits down the line, would this be ok?? -

    Whatever suits you is how...
